 Ubuntu Sakura
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Version: 8.10 "Intrepid Ibex"
-----------------------------
A theme dedicated to one of the best Linux distributions out there. For those that do not know what Ubuntu or Linux is: Linux is a free (as in free beer AND free speech) operating system. Ubuntu is one of thousands of Linux distributions available. Offering a giant repository of 20.000+ free software packages and a huge community, it is easily the most popular and user-friendly derivative of Linux. If you know and like Ubuntu, chances are you will like this theme and if not, you may still like it for its cleanliness and pleasant colors. Or maybe you will like it for the for the soft sound theme. Note that it aims at cleanliness far more than an extraordinary design.
This theme was purely made with free software. The most work was done with the free photo editing software GIMP. The theme consists of fragments taken of the default Ubuntu "Human" theme. Icons are mostly taken from Ubuntu, some are from GNOME and the Tango Icon Theme if they fit better. The fonts used are "Bitstream Vera Sans" and "Monospace", the smaller font used for clock and calendar font is "Monospace". Sounds are from Ubuntu and were converted with Audacity.
All of the resources used are available under one of many permittive licenses, e.g. Tango is public domain. Therefore EVERYBODY is allowed to distribute this skin freely on the web. Furthermore EVERYBODY may take the whole theme or parts of it and modify it as he/she likes it and distribute that as well. Just do not forget to attribute that guy whose work you modify and distribute. ;)
HOW TO INSTALL
--------------
Copy "Ubuntu Sakura.skn" anywhere to your micro sd cart, e.g. /SYSTEM/m3sakura/skins, then start Sakura and navigate to the skin file.
Alternate Backgrounds:
Copy the folder "backgrounds" anywhere to your micro sd cart. Start Sakura and open the image you want to have as a new wallpaper and press START.
Sound Effects:
Before using the included sound scheme, back up the folder "/SYSTEM/m3sakura/sndeff" from your micro sd cart to your hard drive. Then copy "sndeff" to /SYSTEM/m3sakura and overwrite files if asked. To revert to the old sound scheme, put the previously backed up files back on your cart.
